Cockenzie House Heritage Group

11 am – 4pm
The owner of Cockenzie House is
opening his gates, giving local
residents and general public the
opportunity to stroll through the
beautiful enchanting gardens, with its
diverse flora, vegetation and wildlife.
Arts and crafts by local artists will be
on show, Cockenzie House heritage
group will be exhibiting their ancestral
discoveries and showing the
significance the house has had within
our community and Scotland since it
was first built in 1600.
A cafe will also be serving tea, coffee
and a selections of cakes.
Everyone is welcome.
Cockenzie House heritage group have
been working to determine whether
Cockenzie House could play a bigger
role within our community. To give local
residents a hub and place to visit.
Having secured funding from the big
lottery fund, a feasibility study is almost
complete. The group now needs to
determine whether the community
would like to see Cockenzie House
being owned and used by its
community.
This open day is a chance for the
group to show and discuss the various
options available, and for you to give
your opinion to what would best
enhance the local area.
